•It is alleged that the judgment was erroneous, for the reason, first, that the Circuit Court hád no jurisdiction of the cause; the damages found by the jury being within the exclusive jurisdiction of a Justice of the Peace. Under the provisions of the statute of 1851, the Circuit Court has original and exclusive jurisdiction in all causes, except where exclusive or concurrent jurisdiction shall be given to, or be possessed by some other Court. By a provision of our new Constitution, Justices of the Peace have exclusive jurisdiction to the amount of $100, and the…
