delivered the opinion of the -court:

August 24, 1896, there was granted in the action instituted by appellees, members of the board of public safety, an injunction restraining appellants, members of the board of aldermen of the city of Louisville, from proceeding to try them upon certain charges and specifications and from removing, or attempting to remove, them from their offices as members of such board of public safety, or in any manner interfering with the exercise of the duties thereof.
