“This is an action for the recovery of the rental of a brick building leased by plaintiff to defendants. The complaint alleges that on May 15, 1920, the parties entered into a written lease for a period of three years, beginning June 1, 1920, or as soon thereafter as the building should be completed ; that the building was completed and defendants went into possession on July 1, 1920; that they remained in possession and paid the rent up to January 31, 1922, but failed to pay.the rent for the period from February 1, 1922, to January…
