Error to the Court of Appeals ofthe State of Maryland;, the case being this : The Constitution of the United States, in one place, thus ordains: “Article IY. Sec. 2. The citizens of each State shall be entitled to all privileges and immunities of citizens in the several States.” Also thus, in another : ■“Article I. Sec. 8. Power to re-examine final judgments of the State courts rendered in criminal prosecutions, as well as those rendered in civil suits, is conferred upon the Supreme Couyt when it appears that the judgment Was rendered in the highest court of law in which a decision in the-case could be had, and *424that there was drawn in question the validity of a statute of a State, on the ground of its being repugnant to the Constitution of the United States, and that the decision of the State court was in favor of the validity of the statute.*
