The plaintiff, Kate Webb, on November 28, 1926, sued the defendant, W. P. Todd, whose trade name was Todd Machine Company, for the possession of certain personal property in which she alleged a special ownership, or for a money judgment in the value of a certain chose in action on which the suit was predicated.
