—Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Broome County (Smith, J.), rendered March 20, 1992, convicting defendant upon his plea of guilty of the crime of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree.

Defendant contends on this appeal that the sentence of 3 to 9 years’ imprisonment that he received should be reduced because it is disproportionate to the sentence of 3 Vi to 7 years’ imprisonment imposed upon a codefendant and because it is harsh and excessive.
