OPINION AND ORDER

Appellant Ilaisa Tapeni (“Ilaisa”) is appealing an order concerning the custody of three of the parties’ children. Ilaisa, the mother of the three children, contends that the trial court abused its discretion in finding that the three children should remain in Hawaii in the custody of the sister of Appellee Ausage Tapeni (“Ausage”), the father, without a formal finding of Ilaisa’s incompetence as a parent.
