Proceeding pursuant to CPLR article 78 (transferred to this Court by order of the Supreme Court, entered in Albany County) to review a determination of respondent which found petitioner guilty of violating certain prison disciplinary rules.

As petitioner approached the entrance to the facility gym, the alarm on the metal detector sounded and the correction officer who was monitoring it proceeded to conduct a pat frisk of petitioner and scanned him with a hand-held metal detector.
