In 1891 the plaintiff’s assignor, a corporation bearing the same name as that of the plaintiff, but incorporated under the laws of the state of New Jersey, was doing a large business in furnishing strip tickets, which, printed on both sides and consecutively numbered, were used by the elevated railroads, the ferries and other transportation companies.
