Appellees filed a petition, designated as a complaint, on July 30, 1943, in which they prayed confirmation of their title to a certain eighty-acre tract of land in St. Francis county. They alleged that W. J. Lanier had acquired title to the land under a sale to him for delinquent taxes to the St. Francis Levee District, and that Lanier had conveyed this title to them.
