The plaintiffs, Paul Mauro and Linda Mauro (hereinafter, the “Mauros”) have brought the present action for breach of contract, negligence, and professional malpractice against the defendant, Hadlock Law Offices, P.C. (hereinafter, “Hadlock”). Hadlock presided over the closing of a refinancing between the Mauros and Greenpoint Mortgage Funding, Inc. (hereinafter, “Greenpoint”).
