EVELYN V. KEYES, Justice.
In this election-code dispute, we consider whether the trial court abused its discretion when it denied appellant George E. Risner’s petition for a permanent injunction to enjoin appellee the Harris County Republican Party and its then-chair, Jared Woodfill, 1 from certifying appellee Leonila Salazar’s name for a place on the primary election ballot and the November general election ballot for the position of Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2, Place 2 in Harris County. We reverse.
