THORNBERRY, Circuit Judge:
In this medical malpractice suit, appellant Delores Haught claims that Dr. John J. Maceluch deviated from Texas’ standards of sound medical practice in the delivery of her daughter, causing her daughter to suffer permanent brain injury. Appellant sued to recover damages for the impaired condition of her daughter, for medical expenses in connection with the child’s birth and future care, for loss of the child’s future earning capacity, and for appellant’s own mental suffering over her daughter’s impaired condition.
