Plaintiff filed his original motion for judgment on September 8, 1986, alleging negligent, careless, and reckless operation of a motor vehicle by the defendant resulting in injury to the plaintiff in an accident that occurred on September 27, 1986. That motion for judgment asked $100,000 in compensatory damages.
