|,The defendant, Randy Jerome Wilson, was originally charged with one count of first degree murder and one count of attempted first degree murder. The state sought the imposition of the death penalty. Pursuant to a plea agreement, the defendant pled guilty to one count of second degree murder, reserving his rights under State v. Crosby, 338 So.2d 584 (La.1976), to appeal any pretrial rulings. The mandatory sentence of life imprisonment without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence was imposed.
