| ¿The defendant, Kenneth Truman Roberts, Jr., was charged by bill of information with one count of simple kidnapping of a person sixty-five years of age or older, violations of La. R.S. 14:45 and La. R.S. 14:50.2, and pled not guilty. Following a jury trial, he was found guilty as charged. He was sentenced to five years at hard labor and to an additional three years at hard labor because the victim was sixty-five years of age or older.
