FERRELL, Judge:

Appellant was tried by a special court-martial, military judge alone, on 2 April 1979. In accordance with his pleas he was found guilty of three specifications of unauthorized absence and, contrary to his pleas, guilty of another specification of the same offense, all in violation of Article 86, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 886. Appellant was sentenced to confinement at hard labor for 4 months, forfeiture of $250.00 pay per month for 4 months, reduction to pay grade E-l, and a bad-conduct discharge.
