This lawsuit arises from an incident where a patient at Defendant’s hospital refused Plaintiffs care because she is African-American. Plaintiff charges Defendant with race discrimination in violation of 42 U.S.C. § 1981 and Michigan’s Elliot-Larsen Civil Rights Act (“ELGRA”) 'as a result.1 Presently before the Court is Defendant’s motion for summary judgment, filed pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 56 on August 28, 2015.
