This suit was brought by Minnie Win-ton, as surviving wife, and Annie H. Winton as the mother, of Benjamin <S. Winton, against appellant and the Galveston, Harrisburg & San Antonio Railway Company to recover damages occasioned by the death of Benjamin, who was alleged to have been killed by the defendant’s negligence, when in the employ of appellant as a brakeman and while attempting to couple two passenger cars equipped with mismatched couplers—one a Miller hook and the other a Janney coupler.
