CALABRIA, Judge.

Andrew William Jarrett (“defendant”) appeals the trial court’s order denying his motion to suppress evidence. We affirm.

I. Background

During the evening of 28 March 2008, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department (“Sheriff’s Department”) conducted a stationary driver’s license checkpoint (“the checkpoint”) at the intersection of Styers Ferry Road and Dull Road in Forsyth County, North Carolina.
