There are nineteen assignments of error. The first eleven may be considered together as they all relate to the same subject-matter.
1. The stenographer who took the notes of testimony at the trial at which the defendant is charged to have committed perjury, when called as a witness, was permitted- to use his transcript to refresh his memory as to what had been testified at the former trial.
