The defendant, Lance Wargo, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of one count of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a,1 two counts of arson in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-lll (a) (l),2 one count of tampering with evidence in violation of General Statutes § 53a-155 (a) (l)3 and two counts of risk of injury to a child in violation of General Statutes (Rev. to 1993) § 53-21.4 He claims that the trial court improperly (1) permitted a witness to testify about statements reflecting the victim’s state of mind,…
