Defendant, Darryle Childress, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual assault, aggravated kidnaping, kidnaping, aggravated battery and unlawful restraint in connection with an attack on June 13, 1999. At issue in this appeal are the charges of aggravated criminal sexual assault and criminal sexual assault. Prior to trial, defendant filed a motion in limine to bar the use of prior crimes committed by him for purposes of impeachment.
