The American Refuse Crematory Company was incorporated under the laws of this State on January 29,1894, for the purpose of making, operating and dealing in crematory furnaces, with a capital stock of $1,000,000, divided into ten thousand shares, of $100 each. Bertrand Walker and Clyde R. Bates each subscribed for one share of the capital stock and Frank C. Rutan subscribed for the remainder, nine thousand nine hundred and ninety-eight shares, of the par value of $999,800.
