FEDERMAN, Bankruptcy Judge.

Debtors Bradley and Mary Drenttel appeal an order of the bankruptcy court sustaining the Chapter 7 trustee’s objection to their claim of exemption in a homestead. We reverse.

FACTUAL BACKGROUND

In April of 2003, Bradley and Mary Drenttel’s daughter died in an automobile accident, and they became guardians of their two-year old grandson. In June of that same year they sold their home in Minnesota and moved to Arizona where, on June 19, 2003, they closed on a home purchased for $181,682.00.
