OPINION OF THE COURT

Miller, J.

The instant appeal, which presents an issue of first impression at the appellate level, concerns the legal sufficiency of the allegations contained in a juvenile delinquency petition in a proceeding commenced in the Criminal Court and removed to the Family Court. Specifically, the appellant contends that the order of disposition adjudicating him to be a juvenile delinquent must be reversed because the petition, which did not contain nonhearsay allegations establishing the commission of every element of the crimes charged as required by Family Court Act § 311.2…
