OPINION OF THE COURT
TRANT, Judge:
A military judge, sitting as a special court-martial empowered to adjudge a bad-conduct discharge, convicted appellant, pursuant to his pleas, of absence without leave, wrongful use of marijuana (three specifications), and wrongful use of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), in violation of Articles 86 and 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 886 and 912a [hereinafter UCMJ].
