OPINION

BROOKSHIRE, Justice.

This case was remanded to us from the Court of Criminal Appeals to consider the other grounds of error. Turner v. State, 726 S.W.2d 140 (Tex.Crim.App. 1987). In the Appellant’s first ground of error, he alleges that the evidence was insufficient to prove the offense occurred after the effective date of the applicable statute and thus the conviction is void.
