This is an action to recover the sum of $2,605.75, the amount of two drafts drawn by the plaintiff, Griffin, on the Chena River Mining Company, payment of which it is alleged was guaranteed by the defendant by a letter of guaranty given to the plaintiff by one O. B. Woolley, who was at that time the manager of the defendant’s branch bank at Renton, Washington. The guaranty was written on a letter-head of the branch bank, at the top of which was printed the name of the trust company, the names and the official capacities of its various officers, and Woolley’s name, as manager of the Renton…
