Upon the suggestion of the plaintiff, which is filed in this court, accompanied with an exemplification of the petition and proceedings in a certain cause pending in the St. Louis Circuit Court, wherein the said defendant Andrew W. Mead was plaintiff and the said James S. Thomas was one of the defendants, a rule was granted and served upon the defendants herein, requiring them to appear and show cause why the writ of prohibition should not issue to prohibit them from any further proceeding in said cause in the court below.
