This is an appeal from a judgment of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, Robert L. Carter, Judge, dismissing after a bench trial plaintiff-appellant Financial Information Inc.’s complaint charging defendant-appel-lee Moody’s Investors Service, Inc. with copyright infringement and unfair competition. The court first found that the information gathered was copyrightable under the “compilation” provision of the copyright law, 17 U.S.C. § 101 (1982).
