*1147Memorandum: Defendant appeals from a judgment convicting him upon a jury verdict of assault in the first degree (Penal Law § 120.10 [1]), criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree (§ 265.01 [2]) and perjury in the first degree (§ 210.15). By making only a general motion for a trial order of dismissal, defendant failed to preserve for our review his contention that the evidence is legally insufficient to establish the element of serious physical injury with respect to the assault count (see People v Gray, 86 NY2d 10, 19 [1995]).
