The respondent is charged by information with the crime of mutilating a record appertaining to his office as county treasurer, the charging part of the information being as follows;
“He, the said J. A. Eamstad, on or about the 24th day of July, 1923, at the county of Snohomish, state of Washington, was the duly elected, qualified and acting county treasurer in and for the county of Sno-homish, state of Washington.
