CRIMINAL LAW – INTERSTATE AGREEMENT ON DETAINERS – WAIVER The Interstate Agreement on Detainers Act (the “IAD”), Maryland Code (1999, 2017 Repl. Vol.), §§ 8-401 through 8-411 of the Correctional Services Article, gives prisoners incarcerated in one state the right to request the prompt disposition of charges filed against them in another state.
