This appeal involves the validity of an-.adoption order made in 1907 by the Probate Court of Monroe County, Arkansas, in which J. F. Linzey attempted to .adopt Vena Vista Allen, the four-year-old .daughter of his wife, Alice L. Linzey, by a former marriage. The order' reads as follows:
