This ease comes up for review on a strict bill of exceptions and also under section 13G of the Criminal Procedure act.

The defendants were convicted on an indictment charging them with keeping a disorderly house in the city of Newark. Among other illegal practices specifically set out in the indictment was that the defendants willingly caused and procured men and women “'of evil name and fame and of dishonest conversation” to frequent the defendants’ house and there willfully permitted them to remain “soliciting and making assignations…
