Conflict of Laws

In diversity actions, a federal district court must apply the substantive law of the state in which it sits. Vandeventer v. Four Corners Electric Company, Inc., 663 F.2d 1016, 1017 (10th Cir.1981) (citations omitted). In determining the applicable substantive law, courts use that state’s conflict-of-laws rules. Dworkin v.
