Catherine Ward, a married woman, executed her chattel mortgage to the plaintiff. The mortgage purported to convey to him a lot of furniture and household goods, contained in house number 919, North Sixth street, St. Louis, as security for a debt of one hundred and twenty-five dollars. The husband of Catherine Ward did not join in this conveyance, but it was recorded at once.
