On May 7, 2010, Roy D. Nichols, the superintendent of the Mobile County Board of School Commissioners, notified Joann Christopher of his intention to recommend the termination of her employment pursuant to the reduction-in-force policy (“RIF policy”) adopted by the Mobile County Board of School Commissioners (“the Board”) in compliance with § 16-1-33, Ala.Code 1975.
