The estate of Jacques-Pierre Bertrand appeals the Superior Court’s grant of summary judgment in the estate’s wrongful-death action against Mystic Granite and Marble, Inc., and Abaco Machines USA, Inc. The estate also appeals the Superior Court’s order holding that part of the settlement the estate reached with Island Tile and Marble, LLC, and its president Michael Cordiner, be used to reimburse the Government Insurance Fund for medical and funeral payments to Bertrand and his family.
