Appellants, James and Mary Kiley, sued appellee, First National Bank of Maryland (the “Bank”), in a multi-count complaint filed in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County. The Kileys sought compensatory and punitive damages stemming from the Bank’s alleged breach of contract and tortious misconduct.
