At the January term, 1924, of the circuit court, the defendant was tried and found guilty by the jury of having, on the. day of November, 1923, stolen a seven-passenger Buick automobile, 1924 model, of the value of $1700.00, the property of C. P. Cobb, R. Mankin and 'W. H.
