Defendant (appellant) Gerald Lee Mat-lock stands convicted of second-degree assault and attempted robbery.

By information, dated August 23, 1962, defendant and Donald R. McKenzie were charged with (1) second-degree assault for “wilfully and unlawfully striking, beating, hitting and kicking” one George San Pierre, the complaining witness, and (2) robbery for the taking of money, by force and violence, from the same party.
