Plaintiff, Vera M. English, filed this diversity action against defendant, General Electric Company (GE), alleging common law causes of action for wrongful discharge in violation of public policy and intentional infliction of emotional distress. As relief plaintiff seeks $1,328,645 in compensatory damages and punitive damages in the amount of five percent of the net worth of defendant GE (or approximately $2.3 billion).
