PAULSON, Judge.

The plaintiff in this action, Joyce Zimmerman, was employed as an instructor in the German Department of Minot State College [hereinafter College] during the 1969-1970 school year. She had been employed ii: this position for more than three years, but for less than the six years required to achieve tenured status. On January 8, 1970, Miss Zimmerman was notified in writing by the president of the College that she would not be rehired for the 1970— 1971 school term.
