*890 ¶ 1 Following a bench trial, defendant Delfonte Miller was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to one year in prison. On appeal, he contends that he was not proven guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt, of possession of a controlled substance when the arresting officer did not see "exactly" what was in his hand and the contraband was recovered from a trash pile.
