This action was brought in the District Court by The George R. Barse Live Stock Commission *772Company, a corporation, against W. H. Ketcham, B. R. Davis, Sheriff of Marion County, and Charles Marsh, his deputy, to recover the possession of 109 head of steers, on which the plaintiff claimed to have a chattel mortgage given to secure the sum of $2,-978.26.
