HAMLIN, Justice.

The Louisiana Public Service Commission (hereinafter designated as the Commission) appeals from a judgment of the district court in favor of Morehouse Natii- • ral Gas Co., Inc. (hereinafter designated as Morehouse), which set aside Order No. 8406 of the Commission and authorized Morehouse to forthwith make effective the rate schedule proposed by Morehouse to the Commission in its original application filed before the Commission in these proceedings so as to allow a rate of return of 6% on a property rate basis of $186,790.00.
