Ingraham, J.:

The Association of the Bar of the City of New York has presented to this court a petition alleging that the respondent, a city magistrate of the city of Hew York, was guilty of such conduct as required his removal from office. A copy of this petition was served upon the respondent, who submitted his answer. The respondent, by his answer, does not directly put in issue any of the allegations of fact in the petition.
