The defendant, Dominic Williams, was convicted by a Suffolk County jury of murder in the first degree and armed robbery. The judge sentenced the defendant to the mandatory term of life imprisonment on the murder conviction and to a concurrent term of twenty to forty years on the armed robbery conviction.
